For many families, this time of year can be stressful due to the increased financial pressures associated with holiday expenses. In addition to financial and food-related challenges, there is also a significant emotional toll that the holiday season can take on individuals in underserved communities. Many individuals may be grappling with loss, whether it be the absence of loved ones, the loss of stability due to unemployment, or the lingering effects of systemic inequities. The holiday season, often portrayed as a time of family and togetherness, can serve as a painful reminder of what is missing.
