The Neighborhood Chef is more than just a meal preparation program; it’s a heartfelt initiative aimed at providing delicious, home-cooked meals to our homeless neighbors who need a little extra care.
What makes this program special is the way it brings the community together. Each meal becomes a joyful celebration filled with music, dancing, and the warmth of meaningful conversations. Participants share their stories, connect through shared experiences, and form new friendships, creating a sense of belonging. The Neighborhood Chef is a reminder that everyone deserves to feel appreciated, loved, and nourished—both in body and spirit. We offer this to individuals experiencing homelessness through two initiatives:

1. Respite House Dinner:
Each month, THRIVE provides a Sunday meal for individuals in respite care.

2. Sandwich and Snack Campaign:
With the community’s help, THRIVE provides sandwiches and snacks during the summer months to the homeless population.
